LA River Farmers’ Market
“The LA River Farmers’ Market is a wonderful way for people to experience the park and local flavors of the community, and also enjoy our ongoing events and activities that explore the rich natural and cultural heritage of the land.”
Established on May 26, 2022, The LA River Farmers’ Market is a gathering place for our diverse community to engage in healthy eating, sustainable living, and cultural heritage. LA River Farmers’ Market currently has over 25 vendors including 7 CA small farms such as Sunrise Organic, Vang Farming Ventures, Garcia-Ruelas farms, and Rick’s Produce, bringing high quality produce and poultry for the community to enjoy.
At the market, you can use your CalFresh EBT card and WIC checks. Additionally, we offer Market Match which doubles CalFresh up to $35 per day. Stop by the information booth to receive your extra dollars to spend at the market!
Customers can also bring their food scraps from home for LA Compost to convert into high-quality compost at a community composting site. The local composting site for our market is just on the other side of the park, at Metabolic Studio. Metabolic Studio is at the market every week to facilitate free ecology-related art activities, including wild clay ceramics, seed bomb making, seed sorting, rock painting, and more.
Located at the South entrance to the park, near the intersection of Spring St. and College St. in Chinatown, DTLA. The market is accessible by foot, bicycle, train, bus, and car. It is directly adjacent to LA Metro’s Chinatown “A” Line Station (formerly the Gold Line) and there is plenty of free parking at LA State Historic Park.
